LPN Private Duty

It takes a special person to work in private duty continuous care. This position offers you the opportunity to make a difference when it matters most.
Duties include:
  • Providing extended hours of patient care
  • Assisting in the development, implementation, evaluation and revision of plans of care
  • Implementing the nursing plan of care
  • Documenting and communicating patient care needs and assessments
  • Providing teaching and guidance to patients, families and the community
  • Ensuring safe, quality, cost-efficient skilled nursing services
Your nursing skills have never been more appreciated! This job requires a person who can work independently, yet never forget that continuouscare requires a team effort. Other requirements include:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical/vocational nursing
  • Current Tennessee practical nurse license
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience in a geriatric setting
  • Ability to cope with the emotional stress of patients and their families
  • Willingness to work in home environments of patients who may have values or standards different from your own
  • Ability to perform venipuncture
  • Ability to turn, lift, carry and otherwise transport patient
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Respecting the patient’s privacy and maintaining confidentiality
  • Current Tennessee driver’s license and automobile liability insurance
  • CPR Certification
